Products for excavation & site work contractors

Hydraulic attachments share the machine’s oil

Breakers, thumbs, tilt buckets, and augers all run on the carrier’s hydraulic oil. Clean couplers before connecting, and service filters on the maker’s schedule for hammer work.

Mud and water at the pins

Wet sites flush grease from pins and bushings. Grease at the interval the maker lists for wet or muddy work, often daily.

Products by equipment.

Confirm the lubricant type, grade, and specifications in each equipment manual before ordering.

Excavators and mini excavators

Hydraulic oil is the largest fluid on an excavator. Match the ISO grade and type the maker lists, which may change with ambient temperature.

Swing drives, final drives, and pins

Swing reduction, travel motors, and bucket pins list their own gear oil and grease.

Engines and dump trucks

Machines and trucks follow their engine makers’ category, viscosity, and any Tier 4 aftertreatment requirement.

Track loaders

Compact track loaders often share engine oil or hydraulic oil across systems; follow the maker.

Frequently asked questions

Do excavator hydraulic grades change with season?

Some makers list different grades by temperature range. Follow the manual; a multi-viscosity hydraulic oil may cover the range where allowed.

What gear oil goes in an excavator swing drive?

The grade the maker lists for that drive, which may differ from travel motors. Check the lubrication chart.
