Elevator leg drives and large conveyor reducers often specify ISO 150–460 industrial gear oil. This catalog does not include ISO-grade industrial gear oils, so source those to the reducer maker’s specification. Grease, hydraulic oil, compressor oil, and mobile-equipment fluids are covered here.
Dust, ignition, and bearing temperature
Grain dust safety programs often include bearing temperature monitoring and housekeeping around legs and conveyors. Follow your site’s safety plan, the OSHA grain handling requirements that apply to you, and the bearing maker’s lubrication schedule.
Products by equipment.
Confirm the lubricant type, grade, and specifications in each equipment manual before ordering.
Legs, conveyors, and bearings
Bucket elevators, drag conveyors, and distributor bearings list a grease type and relubrication interval. Follow the bearing maker’s quantity to avoid over-greasing.

Frequently asked questions
How much grease should go in a conveyor bearing?
The quantity the bearing maker lists for that size and speed. Too much grease can raise bearing temperature as easily as too little.
Can a co-op both use and resell AMSOIL?
A commercial account covers the co-op’s own equipment; a retail account covers products sold at the farm store. AMSOIL sets terms for each.
