A homestead often has one tractor, one saw, and one generator doing many tasks. Keep a single page listing each machine’s fluids and capacities so the right oil goes in every time.
Selling eggs, hay, or produce?
A farm business that sells products can apply for an AMSOIL commercial account. For personal property use, the Preferred Customer program is another way to buy; AMSOIL sets the terms of both.
Products by equipment.
Confirm the lubricant type, grade, and specifications in each equipment manual before ordering.
Compact tractor and implements
A compact tractor with a loader, mower, and tiller does most of the work. Match the tractor’s transmission-hydraulic fluid and each implement gearbox’s gear oil.
Bar oil and premix oil are separate products. Mix two-stroke oil at the ratio the saw maker permits, and use the hydraulic fluid the log splitter maker lists.
Shop AMSOIL directly with Jeff’s dealer number already attached, or open a business account. AMSOIL handles pricing, checkout, and shipping. If you contact AMSOIL another way, give them dealer number 30734402.
Prefer to talk it through? Email Jeff at [email protected] with your equipment, the fluid now in use, and your approximate volume.
Frequently asked questions
Is bar oil the same as two-stroke oil?
No. Bar oil lubricates the bar and chain from the saw’s oil reservoir; two-stroke oil is mixed into the fuel. Use each where the saw maker directs.
How do I store a generator between outages?
Follow the engine maker’s storage steps. Many owners treat the fuel, run the engine periodically, and change oil at the calendar limit.
