Lubricants for on-site natural gas power generation.
Stationary natural gas engine oil, oil analysis, coolant, and filters for behind-the-meter, prime-power, and microgrid gas engines at data centers and industry.
Prime, continuous, and standby are different duties
Generator ratings such as standby, prime, and continuous (defined in ISO 8528-1) describe very different operating patterns. An engine running thousands of hours a year needs an oil plan built on run hours and analysis, not a standby calendar.
Fuel gas quality matters
Pipeline gas, field gas, and biogas differ in composition. Some gases call for oils with different ash or additive levels; follow the engine maker’s guidance for your gas.
Products by equipment.
Confirm the lubricant type, grade, and specifications in each equipment manual before ordering.
Stationary gas engine oil
Gas engines running prime or continuous power specify viscosity and ash level. Match the engine maker’s requirement for your fuel gas and duty.
Continuous-duty gas engines are commonly sampled on a short, regular schedule to track oxidation, nitration, wear metals, and remaining additive reserve.

Frequently asked questions
How often should a prime-power gas engine’s oil be changed?
At the interval the engine maker sets for your duty and gas, adjusted by oil analysis results within the maker’s limits.
Can I use diesel oil in a natural gas generator?
Use the oil the gas-engine maker specifies. Gas engines often require a specific ash level that diesel oils do not meet.
