Products for wineries

Harvest is the crunch

Crush runs for a few weeks and every press and pump has to work. Service presses, pumps, and forklifts in summer, and keep spare grease cartridges and filters at the crush pad.

Cooling and food-contact oils

Tank jacket chillers use refrigeration compressor oil, and some hydraulic presses near product may call for a food-grade fluid. This catalog does not carry refrigeration oil or food-grade hydraulic oil; follow the equipment maker’s specification for those.

Products by equipment.

Confirm the lubricant type, grade, and specifications in each equipment manual before ordering.

Crush pad and presses

Destemmers, pneumatic presses, and must pumps have bearings and gear drives listed in their manuals. Use the food-grade grease your plan requires where juice contact is possible.

Forklifts and barrel handling

Forklifts with barrel clamps and rotators carry hydraulic systems; match the ISO grade each maker lists.

Bottling and compressed air

Bottling lines and pneumatic presses depend on plant air. Match the compressor maker’s oil type and grade.

Estate vineyard equipment

Wineries that farm their own grapes also run vineyard tractors and sprayers; see the orchards and vineyards fluids.

Frequently asked questions

Does a winery press need food-grade lubricant?

Where juice contact is possible, use what your food-safety plan requires. Many press bearings and drives sit away from product and follow the maker’s standard lubricant.

What hydraulic oil goes in a forklift barrel rotator?

The ISO grade and type the forklift or attachment maker lists, often the same fluid as the forklift’s hydraulic system.
