Tool bushings need the breaker maker’s chisel paste; A1’s catalog does not list one. Apply it with the tool pressed up into the bushing.
No blank firing
Firing without contact with the work damages the tool, retainer pins, and bushings.
Fluids by compartment.
Confirm the fluid type, grade, and specifications in the hydraulic breaker (hammer) maker’s manual before ordering. These examples are not a fitment result for a specific machine.
Carrier hydraulics
Breakers heat and contaminate the carrier’s hydraulic oil; check fluid and change filters on the breaker schedule.

Frequently asked questions
What grease goes on a breaker chisel?
The chisel paste the breaker maker specifies.
Does a breaker affect hydraulic oil?
Yes. It adds heat and contamination, so filters and oil are changed on a shorter breaker schedule.
