Ring-die roller bearings are greased often; too little runs hot, too much can end up in the pellets.
Match the gearbox grade
A lighter gear oil than the plate lists can shorten gear life in a heavily loaded mill; follow the plate.
Fluids by compartment.
Confirm the fluid type, grade, and specifications in the pellet mill maker’s manual before ordering. These examples are not a fitment result for a specific machine.
Main gearbox
Large ring-die mill gearboxes commonly call for ISO 220–460 industrial gear oil, which A1’s catalog does not list. Small flat-die mills sometimes list an SAE gear oil; check before using one.
